The past few days have been quite astounding to me because I had a significant insight into the nature of Thought. I no longer see it in the way I did before, and it has been positively transformative. Isn’t it amazing how when we continue to look in this direction, something new appears? Stay in the conversation. Keep looking.
P.S. I’d love for you to join my free Facebook group, the Mind Yoga Spa. Let’s have a relaxing conversation about dissolving stress and living life with more joy.
Hi Mary,
Definitely agree! But to take it one step further, what do you think of this?
Not only are we a human being having an experience of life, but the reason (perhaps!) is so that Mind can have the entire spectrum of unique experiences that come from every single human being having an experience of life.
Wow, that’s making my head spin, Jill. But in a good way.
It’s an interesting concept, for sure! Especially when you see that it includes ALL experiences. The good and bad. Including those experiences had by supposed “perpetrators” as well a those had by the “victims.”
Mind gets to and wants(?) to experience them all. (I think!)
Hi Mary. Wonderful blog post! And it makes perfect sense from a levels of understanding perspective. I just returned last night from the 3P School on Salt Spring Island with Chip and Elsie (Mark Howard, Mara Gleason, and Eric… also spoke) , a deep, intense, and delicious dive into the Principles. I experienced several layers of ‘seeing’ in the 3 days, including the one you mention, which for me felt like being part of this universal cosmic connection experienced through the container of a body called ‘me’.
What I was into became ever more apparent to me when Elsie showed us that the energy we feel is Love, with a capital L. As I felt into it, I then saw my family and felt the immense love I hold for them. In that moment I felt that as powerful and important my love for my family is to me, the Love experienced in the room was deeper and perhaps purer than the love of family. I by now means want to create the impression that my love of family was less in any way, but I did see that it was formed partially from personal thinking, so more changeable.
I feel so much gratitude now as I write to have been able to have such profound experience of what it means to be in the world of form.
That sounds like an amazing experience on all fronts, George. Isn’t it wonderful to know that we can have those feelings anytime we want to?
Pointing in this direction is like holding up a lantern. Thank you.
What a beautiful image, Juliet. Thank you for that.
I have often wondered if we are all just little manifestations of
God-sort of like we are his costumes while he/it gets to use us as vehicles for its understanding of physical experience and emotion.
I had an experience when i was 15 that has always stayed with me. I went skinny dipping alone one night. It was hot and humid and the lake was warm like bathwater. Since I had no clothes on and the water was sort of the same temperature as the air-I couldnt feel my body at all. The night was black and the twinkling stars and the black water from the lake reflecting the twinkling… it all ran together and it felt like I was simply a mind floating in space.
I am not sure why I am babbling about this now other than your post reminded me of it. It was one of the most powerful, beautiful experiences of my life.
There is a spiritual aspect to what we’re talking about, Sabra, most definitely. Your story is beautiful — a lovely expression of what I, too, have felt from time to time. Thank you so much.
